Texas DL transfer Jaray Bledsoe set for weekend visit at Washington
Texas defensive lineman transfer Jaray Bledsoe is set to visit Washington this weekend, On3’s Pete Nakos confirmed. Bledsoe is a former four-star prospect.
After redshirting and playing in one game as a true freshman for Texas in 2022, Bledsoe appeared in eight games in 2023 before seeing his role diminished in 2024, appearing in just a handful of games.
Shortly before Texas played in the SEC championship Game, it was reported that Bledsoe would explore his options in the portal.
Bledsoe played high school football at Marlin (TX), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 144 overall recruit and No. 19 defensive lineman in the 2022 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Texas boasted the best defense in the SEC this season, only allowing 247.2 opponent yards per game. Moreover, the Longhorns have amassed 35 sacks in the 2024 campaign, the fourth-most in the conference.

But as of early December, Bond’s status is a complete unknown. And it won’t be clearer until he gets an MRI, according to Sarkisian.
The Texas head coach only acknowledged it was a tough injury for his top wideout.
“IB, he’s getting an MRI on that ankle, I think (it was) pretty clear everybody saw him get rolled up,” Sarkisian said. “I don’t have anything further on that from a severity standpoint.”
Bond finished the SEC Championship Game with just one catch for 22 yards.
Playing in 12 of 13 possible games, Bond has 33 catches, 532 yards, five touchdowns and 16.1 yards per catch in his first year after transferring from Alabama.
