Texas EDGE Justice Finkley to transfer to Kansas, per agency
Former Texas EDGE defender Justice Finkley will transfer to Kansas, his agency announced.
Finkley just completed his third year with the Longhorns, having a relatively limited impact in his time on campus. He appeared in six games during the 2024 season, as Texas made a run to the national semifinals.
Justice Finkley actually played quite a bit in his first two years on campus, though. He appeared in 12 games as a freshman and 14 games as a sophomore, playing mostly a reserve role on defense.
In total, the EDGE defender has logged 26 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
Prior to enrolling at Texas, Justice Finkley was ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 126 overall player in the 2022 recruiting class. He also checked in as the No. 14 EDGE defender and the No. 6 overall player in the state of Alabama, hailing from Trussville (AL) Hewitt-Trussville.

Texas OL Kelvin Banks declares for NFL Draft
The roster news for Texas keeps on coming, following a flurry of activity in recent days that included Justice Finkley’s impending transfer. Texas is also dealing with players declaring for the NFL Draft.
On Sunday, offensive lineman Kelvin Banks declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, he announced on his Instagram account.
Banks is widely regarded as one of the top offensive tackle prospects in the draft, a likely first rounder and potentially even the first offensive lineman off the board.
“After careful consideration, I have decided to forego my final season of eligibility and declare for the 2025 NFL Draft,” Kelvin Banks wrote. “I will always bleed burnt orange and cherish the memories I’ve made here. Thank you, Longhorn Nation, for everything. I look forward to representing Texas proudly in the next chapter of my journey.”
Banks is as experienced as they come on the offensive line.
In three seasons with the Longhorns, he played in and started 42 total games. He won the 2024 Lombardi Award and the 2024 Outland Trophy.
