Texas linebacker transfer Derion Gullette lines up three visits
Texas linebacker transfer Derion Gullette has three visits lined up for this week, his agency told On3’s Pete Nakos.
Gullette was visiting Mississippi State on Sunday, then he will hit Ole Miss from Wednesday to Thursday, then finish out the week with a Saturday and Sunday trip to North Carolina.
The prominent linebacker entered the NCAA transfer portal on Dec. 9.
Derion Gullette did not receive any game action in 2023, before appearing in five games this past season. The Texas native recorded a pair of tackles for the Longhorns in 2024.
Gullette signed with Texas as a member of the class of 2023. He was ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 13 linebacker in the country coming out of high school, per the On3 Industry rankings.
He chose the Longhorns over offers from Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Ohio State and several other high-profile schools.
