Texas offers 4-star QB and USC commit Devin Brown
Everybody seems to want in on the Devin Brown sweepstakes.
Texas became the most recent team to enter the fray. The Longhorns extended an offer Monday to the Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon four-star quarterback and USC commit.
On3’s Gerry Hamilton reported Sunday that Brown is tentatively scheduled to visit the Longhorns on Nov. 13 for their game against Kansas.
Every since Clay Helton was fired from USC in the middle of September, Devin Brown has become one of the hottest names in the recruiting cycle. He was offered by the Trojans in-city rival UCLA and former USC head coach Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss within days of Helton’s dismissal.
Cal and Ohio State have also offered the 6-foot-3 quarterback.
Devin Brown is the No. 63 overall recruit in the 2022 On300 rankings and the sixth-best quarterback in the class.

On3’s Chad Simmons caught up with Devin Brown over the weekend to talk about the current state of his recruiting journey. Brown has been committed to the Trojans for over 13 months, and only started exploring other options following Helton’s firing.

“I just have to keep doing what I am doing and wait to see what happens at USC,” Brown said.
Brown also recently caught up with Lettermen Row and talked about his offer from the Buckeyes and the growing relationship between the quarterback and the school.
With Quinn Evers reclassifying to the 2021 class in August, Ohio State is without a quarterback for the 2022 cycle.
If he decides to flip to Texas, Devin Brown would be the second quarterback commit in the Longhorns’ class.
Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra consensus four-star quarterback Maalik Murphy committed to the Texas in February.
