Each week, On3 selects national head coaches of the week.

Our Group of Five co-head coaches of the week for Week 10 are Texas State’s G.J. Kinne and Army’s Jeff Monken.

Kinne locked up bowl eligibility for the Bobcats with a 45-24 win over 6-2 Georgia Southern. The success for Texas State, which is now 6-3, comes after the Bobcats won four games or fewer each of the previous eight seasons prior to Kinne’s arrival.

“That was a big time win for us (against) a really good opponent,” Kinne said after the game. “And we wanted to as a team, we wanted to get this done for everyone involved at home. And that’s what we challenged our guys to do. And they went out and got it done. So just really proud of them and everything. You know, been through coaching change, roster turnover, spring ball, fall camp – just to be at this point and to have six wins is obviously one of the goals we had and really happy for those guys and a bunch of really excited kids and coaches.”
