Bixby (Okla.) three-star linebacker Cord Nolan has committed to Texas Tech, he announced on Friday.

He chose the Red Raiders while also holding offers from the likes of Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State and Missouri.

Nolan is the No. 821 overall prospect and No. 66 LB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 8 player in Oklahoma.

“First I want to thank Jesus Christ for giving me the ability, passion, and desire to play the game of football, I wouldn’t be able to without Him. I also want to thank my parents for supporting me through this recruiting process. A huge thank you to my coaches and teammates that have helped me become the player I am today. With that being said, I will be committing to continuing my academic and athletic career at Texas Tech University,” Nolan wrote announcing his commitment on X.

Nolan broke out in a big way as a junior for Bixby, one of the top high school football programs in the Sooner State. He racked up 108 total tackles, five sacks and an interception in 2024, according to MaxPreps. Bixby ranked as the No. 2 team in Oklahoma, according to the On3 Composite.

The 6-foot, 190-pounder becomes commit No. 6 for TTU head coach Joey McGuire and Co. All six commits in the Red Raiders’ class are on the defensive side of the ball.

Georgetown (Texas) East View four-star LB Tieson Ejiawoko is the top-ranked pledge, checking in as the No. 362 recruit and No. 27 LB in the nation. Amarillo (Texas) Tascosa three-star defensive lineman Krush Johnson, Mount Pleasant (Texas) three-star DL Ayden Johnson, New Braunfels (Texas) Canyon three-star cornerback Luke Bell and Pflugerville (Texas) Hendrickson CB Maddox Quiller round out the class.
