Texas trending to add another Top-100 prospect to elite 2025 recruiting class
Texas did a majority of its heavy-lifting on the recruiting trail at the end of the summer and beginning of the fall this cycle, propelling its class to top-five status along the way.
With National Signing Day right around the corner, the Longhorns have the No. 5 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, thanks to 22 total commits, eight of whom are top-100 overall prospects.
Steve Sarkisian and his staff aren’t done, however. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Texas is now line to add yet another top-100 recruit to the fold.
On Nov. 1, Tampa Wiregrass Ranch four-star cornerback Graceson Littleton decommitted from Clemson. Immediately, Texas and Michigan were viewed as top contenders for the 6-foot DB. This month has seen Littleton log official visits to both schools, though it’s the SEC program that now looks to be grabbing the momentum.
“It was nice in Austin. I’ve never been there before, so I didn’t exactly know how it would be. I didn’t realize that the facility was in the downtown area. The culture was good. It was nice to get around some of the current players and hear their views on the program,” Littleton told On3’s Chad Simmons after getting down to The Forty Acres.
The blue-chipper saw the Longhorns roll past Florida. He was able to spend time with defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski, secondary coach Terry Joseph and Sarkisian, too.

“They have a plan for me,” Littleton said. “They think I fit their defensive scheme and can be a ball player in the secondary. They have been recruiting me heavy since they offered and the reasons Texas is a contender for me and got me on that visit was because of the defensive scheme and success of the program.”
Longhorns eyeing elite DB class this cycle
Sitting at the top of Texas’ class is Galveston (Texas) Ball five-star safety Jonah Williams, the nation’s No. 9 prospect and top-ranked safety. He’s one of three defensive backs currently in the mix for Texas.
Earlier this month, Carrollton (Ga.) four-star safety Zelus Hicks reclassified from the 2026 cycle to 2025 and provided a big jolt to the class as a result. As a member of the senior cycle, Hicks is a top-200 recruit and the No. 15 safety in the land. Back in June, Missouri City (Texas) Fort Bend Marshall four-star CB Caleb Chester committed.
Littleton’s commitment would add a second corner to the fold, further balancing one of the nation’s top pledge lists. He is the No. 99 overall prospect and No. 12 CB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 15 player in Florida.
