Theo Wease posts Texas A&M-themed blanket, trash talk letter allegedly from Will Lee ahead of matchup
When Texas A&M takes on Missouri Saturday in the lone ranked-vs.-ranked matchup of the day, one of the key matchups will be Theo Wease against Will Lee. Apparently, someone else is looking forward to it, as well.
Wease received a blanket – Lee’s nickname – and a letter along with it, he posted on his Instagram story. He called it a “warm welcome to College Station” ahead of the intriguing matchup.
There was also a note with it. It included a picture of Lee and had a message for Wease, who leads Missouri in receiving entering Week 6.
“Get used to this blanket,” the letter read. “It will be real tomorrow.”
Theo Wease is off to a strong start to the season entering Week 6. He leads Mizzou with 287 receiving yards as he works opposite Luther Burden at the wide receiver position. He’s coming off an impressive debut season in Columbia after transferring from Oklahoma, totaling 682 yards and six touchdowns as one of Brady Cook’s top targets.

Missouri is gearing up for an interesting matchup with Texas A&M on multiple fronts. The expectation is Marcel Reed will again get the start while Conner Weigman works his way back from a shoulder injury suffered in the season opener – meaning Mizzou will be going up against the brother of one of its staffers.
Eli Drinkwitz joked assistant director of on-field recruiting Briah Reed wouldn’t be able to watch practice this week ahead of the game. He called it an “interesting dynamic,” but Missouri later posted a picture of Drinkwitz with Reed and fellow staffer Ella Guerrero at Wednesday’s practice.
“It’s created an interesting dynamic. At the end of the day that’s her brother and that’s her blood, and we know that she’s doing her job here,” Drinkwitz said. “But family is always so important and so we don’t want her to be in any type of conflict of interest. In fact I just saw her in the hallway just a second ago. But I’m not letting her in the copy room and she’s sure not going to have her eyes on the scouting report.”
