Four-star LB Thomas Davis commits to Notre Dame: "They have a plan developing players on and off the field"
Matthews (NC) Weddington On3 Industry four-star linebacker Thomas Davis Jr. committed to head coach Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame following a return visit to campus over the weekend.
Davis’s trip was highlighted by the Irish’s dominant victory over Florida State.
“It felt like home,” Davis said. “The three visits I’ve been on, they welcomed me and they have a plan developing players on and off the field and it’s a great program overall.”
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Davis chose the Irish over offers from Ohio State, Michigan, North Carolina and Tennessee.
Staff assistant Carter Auman and linebackers coach Max Bullough and defensive coordinator Al Golden were the three Davis said he talked to the most during his process.
“My relationship I have and just the family up there,” Davis said. “I know I’m going to be pushed to be the best I can.”
