There’s been plenty of fun this week in San Antonio, with a lot of great hoops on display. There’s also been the fun that always accompanies legendary broadcaster Charles Barkley.

And TNT took a minute to highlight one of the greatest rivalries in sports: Charles Barkley vs. the women of San Antonio. Barkley has been vocal about the city in the past, making it a now famous prodding point for him.

It’s not always received well. So in an effort to make Barkley a little more endearing to the San Antonian women, the TNT crew put together a mock episode of Pop The Balloon.

It didn’t take long for the air to be let out. Like, at all.

As soon as Charles Barkley walked into the room, led by host Kenny Smith, several women immediately popped their balloons. Barkley paused, stunned.

“Wow. That was rude,” Barkley said. “I’m Charles Wade Barkley.”

Pop. Pop. Two more gone.

The women had several things to say when Barkley approached each one to get their reason for popping the balloon. Some of them were downright hilarious.

“I honestly am not a fan of churros, but I’ve heard that he likes to wolf them down,” one woman said. Barkley provided a tip: Got to eat them with the caramel sauce.

Added another woman: “My name is Lana and I just like my men with more muscle. Do you think Shaq is available?”

For other women, it was about Charles Barkley’s athletic feats. What he can and can’t do.

“I popped my balloon because I mean, have you seen his golf swing?” one said, stunning Barkley. But the real doozie came moments earlier.

“Let’s be real, you don’t even have any rings, so I can’t trust that you’re going to give me one if you don’t even have any?” one woman asked. An obvious knock on Barkley’s lack of championships as a player.

Pretty funny stuff. You can view the entire segment above.
