Caleb Gaskins is the No. 8 player in the 2026 On3 150 and the No. 5 small forward in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking. Gaskins had a good showing this summer playing with the Nightrydas program on Nike’s EYBL E15 Circuit. The 6-foot-7 wing averaged 15.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in league play.

“My game is pretty simple,” Gaskins told On3. “I try to play like Kevin Durant, I focus on the mid-range a lot. I’m a big physical player and I’m getting my strength up and getting faster since coming to Montverde.”

After his play this summer, Gaskins transferred to Montverde (FL) Montverde Academy for his sophomore season. He played his eighth and ninth-grade seasons at Melbourne (FL) Holy Trinity Academy where he averaged 14.1 points in 55 games.

Montverde Academy/FL is currently 27-0 on the season and ranked No. 1 across the board. The team has six seniors ranked in the top 100. Including Gaskins, they also have four non-seniors who carry Division 1 offers. With that, Gaskins is averaging 4.8 points on 63 percent shooting.

On3 caught up with Caleb Gaskins recently to talk recruitment.

“I have offers right now from Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, Mississippi State, Maryland, and a couple of others,” Gaskins said. “I don’t have anything set right now, but I’ll probably visit Georgia soon. I haven’t seen a lot of them, I’m not going to lie, but they showed interest in me very early in the process.”

While his recruiting process is just getting started, Gaskins has been a staple at the USA Basketball Junior National Team Minicamps. Even with no unofficial visits set, he has an idea of what he will be looking for in a school.

“I’m going to be looking at fit,” Gaskins said. “Which program fits my play style the best? And I’m going to look at the schools that show me the most love.

“I’m comfortable playing inside and out, both on the perimeter and around the basket. So I would want to look at a situation that is going to use my entire game.
