On Monday, the 6-foot, 155-pounder told On3’s Steve Wittfong that he has locked in his commitment date for Saturday, May 25 at 2:00 PM Eastern. He will choose between Cincinnati, Florida, Michigan and Notre Dame.
Zackery is the No. 94 overall prospect and No. 10 CB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in Indiana.
The Fighting Irish are currently trending for the blue-chip defensive back, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Five picks from national and team recruiting insiders have been logged in favor of Marcus Freeman and Co. landing the in-state prospect.

Cincinnati: “Obviously Coach (Kerry) Coombs has been recruiting me since my freshman year. We’ve built a great relationship. He’s been one of those guys that feels he can develop me into a first round draft pick. I believe him and I know there is a lot of room for me to grow and he’ll bring out the best in me.”
Michigan: “Obviously with the new staff coming in that culture there and them winning is a big deal for me. They’re coming off a National Championship and them winning, they have a culture there I’d love to be included in.”
Florida: “Florida is a school I’ve been watching since I was little. My family and brother, being a fan growing up and following behind him and watching those games on Saturday.”
Notre Dame: “They have a winning culture. It means more than football there with the degree, the coaches, the players, small campus and the prestige that they have there.”
