Junior four-star offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor of Des Moines (Iowa) Southeast Polk narrowed his list to 12 schools on Wednesday.

Proctor, who is ranked as the No. 49 player in the On3 2023 Top 100, said Iowa, Florida, Texas, Georgia, Iowa State, Notre Dame, LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Clemson and Oklahoma are the 12 schools he’s focused on.

Proctor has scholarship offers from more than 30 schools. But he felt most comfortable with the 12 programs that made the cut.

“These are the schools that I talk to the most and I have been on visits to,” Proctor, who is 6-foot-7 and 330 pounds, said.

Busy fall ahead for Kadyn Proctor

This summer, Kadyn Proctor visited Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Iowa, Iowa State and Mizzou. He was at Iowa last weekend, and he called the atmosphere inside Kinnick Stadium “crazy.”

“My first time inside Kinnick was incredible,” Proctor said.

Proctor plans to be in Ames, Iowa, this weekend. He will watch rivals Iowa and Iowa State battle for the Cy-Hawk Trophy.

It is Proctor’s third trip to Ames since the NCAA recruiting dead period lifted in June. He was on campus at Iowa State in early June for an unofficial visit. He took a second unofficial visit in July.

“After that, I have to plan some stuff out for the out-of-state schools,” Proctor said.

Proctor was invited to play in the 2023 All-American Bowl. Proctor was the first Iowa prospect to receive the invite to the 2023 game. His teammate and four-star safety recruit Xavier Nwankpa is selected to play in the 2022 game.
