Top-100 linebacker Raylen Wilson decommits from Michigan
Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln linebacker Raylen Wilson has decommitted from Michigan, he announced Tuesday night.
Wilson is the No. 81 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 4 linebacker and the No. 15 player in the state of Florida.
In December, Wilson committed to Michigan over Georgia. George Helow was a big part of that pledge to the Wolverines. The two have a strong connection and that is what made Wilson’s decommitment from Michigan that much harder.
“I love coach Helow,” Wilson told On3. “I have always trusted him, we have a great relationship, and he is a great coach. It was hard, but I decided to decommit from Michigan and open things back up.”

Wilson took official visits to Georgia and Florida the first two weekends in June. He was recently up in Ann Arbor. He is now going to explore his options.
“Alabama is another school I have been talking to. They want me to visit in July. Florida State is a school close to home and they have always been recruiting me hard.
“Georgia and Florida are two schools I am still looking at a lot too. I am just going to take some time and see how I feel.”
