Texas A&M is the only school in 2023 Ramsey (N.J) Don Bosco Prep four-star offensive tackle Chase Bisontis‘ top five that the New Jersey native has to visit. That is set to change very soon, as Bisontis has an official visit scheduled to Texas A&M this weekend, June 3-5th, he tells Aggie Scoop.
The No. 52 prospect and No. 5 offensive tackle in the country per the On3 Consensus announced a top five of Rutgers, LSU, Michigan State, Georgia and Texas A&M just last week and has official visits set to see the Spartans and Tigers next month as well. He’ll look to make official visits to Georgia and Rutgers as well, though dates haven’t been scheduled for either visit just yet.
The Aggies offered Bisontis back in May 2021, but have surged in recent months since the arrival of new offensive line coach Steve Addazio.
“I am interested in Texas A&M because of my relationship with Coach Addazio,” Bisontis previously told On3. “We’ve built a strong relationship recently. I believe their program is headed in the right direction.”
He added that Addazio’s pedigree and the opportunity at Texas A&M has the Aggies standing out to him.
“He is highly respected around the country,” he said of Addazio. “He’s coached some of the offensive line coaches that are coaching at some big schools right now. They also had the best recruiting class last year, so that’s also very good because playing there will make me a lot better in practice and playing in the SEC.”
Rutgers and LSU are among two schools to keep an eye on in his recruitment. He made his first visit to LSU last month, which helped the Tigers surge up his list. The four-star has visited Rutgers more than any other school to this point.

“I’ve been recruited by Coach Schiano and the staff for a long time now,” Bisontis previously told On3. “Visiting Rutgers six times now, and all were great experiences. I’ve built very strong relationships there across the whole staff. Rutgers feels like home. I have a bunch of friends and former teammates currently on the Rutgers roster. Rutgers is only 45 mins away from me as well. I believe that Rutgers will soon be a top program and to go there and help that happen would be awesome.”
As things stand, Texas A&M now leads in Bisontis’ recruitment per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, which gives the Aggies a 29.8% chance to land the four-star’s commitment. The aforementioned Scarlet Knights trail in second, with a 22.1% chance at Bisontis and LSU is currently running in third, with a 18.9% chance to land his commitment.
Texas A&M holds just one offensive line commit in the 2023 class to date in Spring Branch (Tex.) Smithson Valley three-star Colton Thomasson and will look to take at least 2-3 more this cycle.
Bisontis is ranked as the No. 52 player and No. 5 offensive tackle nationally per to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He has an NIL Valuation of $137K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
