New Orleans Destrehan four-star wide receiver Jabari Mack is one of the top pass-catchers in the 2026 cycle. Contenders are beginning to come into focus for the blue-chipper.

Mack dropped his top 10 schools last month. On Thursday, the 6-foot, 170-pounder told On3 that he’s locked in four official visits this summer. He’ll see Ohio State (May 31), Texas A&M (June 5), Texas (June 14) and LSU (June 21) once again later this year.

He is the No. 82 overall prospect and No. 15 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 player in Louisiana.

This year has already seen Mack log visits to Texas A&M, Texas and LSU. At the end of December, Mack updated his recruitment with On3’s Chad Simmons, diving into what will be most important to him when the time comes to make a decision.

“I am narrowing down some schools and picking the ones that I feel want me to be there the most,” Mack said. “A lot of schools are reaching out to me and I still have far to go with the process, but I have a good idea of what I want.

“The schools that stuck with me as they were focused on the 2025 class showed me a lot. They showed me how important I am to them.”

Oregon, Michigan, Nebraska, Alabama, Tennessee and Florida State also cracked his top 10 in January.

Mack talks his four OV destinations

When speaking with On3 in December, Mack dove in on what has some of his top programs standing out. He touched on each of the four schools he’s now set to officially visit this summer:

LSU: “I was at three LSU games this season and it is a place that feels like home. It always feels like family there and if I went there, my family would be close. Coach (Cortez) Hankton keeps in touch a lot too. I know him and the coaching staff well. LSU is a great place with a crazy atmosphere.”

Ohio State: “Coach (Brian) Hartline is always developing his guys. He gets receivers and develops them. He was a great one, he knows the process and he knows how to coach. Ohio State always wins too.”

Texas: “I love the area around Texas. I like coach (Chris) Jackson a lot too. He keeps in touch a lot. It is a great place, I was there for the Georgia game and the atmosphere was amazing.”

Texas A&M: “It is nice each time I get to A&M. I like the staff and they have been showing some love. The new staff is cool and it is a nice place. I have some family in the area too, so that is nice.”
