Top-100 WR Omarion Miller commits to Nebraska: 'I can start my legacy there'
Former Nebraska star Mickey Joseph is one of the best prep football players to ever emerge out of The Boot.
Joseph, who famously picked to play for the Huskers coming out of Marrero (La.) Shaw, is now one of Nebraska’s ace recruiters on staff. The Louisiana native just manufactured some late fireworks with another elite talent from his home state.
Omarion Miller, a four-star wide receiver from Vivian (La.) North Caddo, committed to Nebraska on Tuesday. The top-100 recruit from Northern Louisiana backed off his longtime LSU commitment earlier this summer and recently took an official visit back up to Nebraska.
Joseph courted Miller while at LSU and hasn’t taken his foot off the gas since returning to Big Ten country.
“Nebraska has always been recruiting me hard these last couple of months and being one of their top recruits, I can write my name all over it,” Miller told On3.

“Knowing I can go there and dominate and start my legacy there … Coach Mickey thinks the same.”
The connection between Joseph and Miller created the foundation for the Huskers in recent months. Miller returned to Nebraska and LSU for June visits and frequented Arkansas during spring practices. Ultimately, Joseph and lead Husker Scott Frost created the best environment for one of Louisiana’s best — as well as his entire family.
“The whole coaching staff made me and my family feel like it was home and I really enjoyed myself the whole time I was there,” Miller explained. “My brother and sister loved it, so that was a bit an eye-opener for me and my family over everything.”
Miller is the nation’s No. 17-rated wide receiver on the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s the No. 8 overall player from The Boot.
