Ryan Crotty, a three-star shooting guard, has committed to Oklahoma State, he told On3. He becomes the first commitment in the 2025 class for head coach Steve Lutz.

The 6-foot-5 senior out of the Charlottesville (VA) Miller School chose the Cowboys over offers from Clemson, Maryland, Virginia Tech, and others.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Crotty is the No. 116 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No. 29 shooting guard prospect and the No. 4 player in Virginia. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Crotty on his commitment to Oklahoma State

Ryan Crotty went in-depth on his commitment to OK State with On3.

“I chose Oklahoma State because everything felt right on the visit. The coaching staff believes in me, and I really like the campus and facilities. I really like the way Coach Lutz’ teams play, and I think I can fit their style of play really well. They have been straight up with me since they started recruiting me, and have built great relationships with me and my coaches.”

In his own words, what type of player are the Cowboys getting in Ryan Crotty?

“I would say I play with high confidence and play really hard. I can shoot it in any situation and either range, and I can play off my shot creation.”

He has a message for OSU fans.

“We are building something special in Stillwater.”
