Top-150 recruit Jaylen Cross commits to UNC Charlotte
Jaylen Cross, a three-star point guard in the 2025 class, has committed to UNC Charlotte, he told On3.
The 6-foot-4 senior out of Calwell Academy in Greensboro, NC received offers from the likes of Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Saint Louis, among others but decided to remain in-state and pick the 49ers.
Cross is the nation’s No. 128 overall prospect, No. 17 point guard and No. 7 recruit from North Carolina in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Cross on his commitment to Charlotte

“I chose UNC Charlotte for how much opportunity there is for me to learn and grow but also from a development side of things, because I know development is huge for them and they get their players better.”
