The On3 Impact 300 ranks the best players in college football entering the 2022 season, with a full release coming in the next few weeks. Prior to the release of the inaugural list – which also factors into the calculation of the On3 NIL Valuation – On3 has revealed the Top 20 returning SEC players.
Alabama star Will Anderson leads the way, ranked as the top overall player in the On3 Impact 300. The Bronko Nagurski winner and unanimous first-team All-American is back for another year of wreaking havoc in opposing backfields.
These are the 20 most impactful players in the SEC with less than three months until the 2022 season kicks off.
Top 20 SEC players in the On3 Impact 300
1. EDGE Will Anderson, Alabama
Will Anderson was often a one-man wrecking crew for the Crimson Tide last fall, helping Alabama reach the national title game. He tallied 102 tackles, 34.5 tackles for a loss and 17.5 sacks. He is also one of the huge NIL winners, with his current $1.3 million valuation ranking No. 12 on the NIL 100 rankings.
2. QB Bryce Young, Alabama
Bryce Young won the Heisman Trophy in 2021 after posting 4,872 passing yards with 47 touchdowns and seven interceptions. His passing total was second in the nation. His NIL value now sits at $3.1 million, good enough for No. 2 in the NIL 100.
3. DT Jalen Carter, Georgia
Jalen Carter will have a chance to feature more thanks to the departure of superstar Jordan Davis. In 2021, Carter managed to rack up 37 tackles and 33 quarterback pressures, also compiling 8.5 tackles for a loss, 3.0 sacks and two blocked kicks. His current NIL valuation stands at $803,000.
4. TE Brock Bowers, Georgia
After setting single-season Georgia records for most receptions (56), receiving yards (882) and touchdowns (13) by a tight end in 2021 as a true freshman, Brock Bowers will be looking to build on that as a sophomore. He’s the only tight end in the Impact 300’s Top 10, with a current NIL valuation stands at $895,000, good for 15th in the NIL 100 rankings.
5. RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Alabama
After transferring to Alabama from Georgia Tech as the nation’s top running back transfer prospect, Jahmyr Gibbs looks poised to take the reins from Brian Robinson. He rushed for 746 yards in 2022, adding another 470 catching passes. His NIL value is currently $632,000.
6. CB Cam Smith, South Carolina
Cam Smith finished his redshirt sophomore season with three interceptions, but he had a far bigger impact than those numbers would suggest. 7. CB Antonio Johnson, Texas A&M

The LSU Tigers’ quarterback competition is ongoing, but they return Kayshon Boutte after an injury ended his 2021 season early. 12. QB Spencer Rattler, South Carolina
Former OU quarterback Spencer Rattler had the fewest total yards in 2021 of all quarterbacks who started in the Top 10 at the position in the On3 Impact 300, however, his 3,031-yard season in 2020 factors into the new Gamecock’s 2022 projection. The presumed starter for South Carolina, Rattler has an NIL value of $2 million. He was the No. 3 QB transfer this offseason behind Caleb Williams and Quinn Ewers.
13. WR Jermaine Burton, Alabama
Jermaine Burton played well at Georgia but he’s hoping for a lot more with Alabama after transferring for the 2022 season. The third-year wideout has two 400+ yard seasons under his belt so far and an NIL value of $524,000.
14. S Christopher Smith, Georgia
Christopher Smith seemed to have a knack for making plays at key times, including an interception returned for a touchdown against Clemson and a third-quarter interception in the national title game against Alabama. He finished with 35 tackles, three interceptions and four pass breakups in 2021. Current NIL valuation: $461,000.
15. RB Chris Rodriguez, Kentucky
After averaging 106 rushing yards per game in 2021, Chris Rodriguez enters a big season for his draft stock in 2022. He finished 12th last year in rushing with 1,379 yards and nine scores. Unlike others on the list, Rodriguez isn’t as active as a receiver for the Wildcats. His NIL value is currently $381,000.
16. RB Devon Achane, Texas A&M
With Isaiah Spiller off to the NFL, running back Devon Achane can fully shine for the Aggies in 2022. He had 910 rushing yards last season while splitting carries. He has an NIL value of $452,000.
17. RB Tank Bigsby, Auburn
Tank Bigsby broke 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in his career last season and will likely do it again for Auburn in 2022. On top of 1,099 rushing yards, he had 10 scores and 184 yards receiving. Bigsby’s NIL value is $546,000 ahead of the 2022 season.
18. OT Broderick Jones, Georgia

19. EDGE Nolan Smith, Georgia
The former No. 1 overall recruit in the 2019 class came on strong for the national champion Bulldogs as his junior season wore on. He had eight tackles and seven quarterback pressures in the College Football Playoff semifinal win over Michigan. Smith’s current NIL valuation is $513,000.
20. DT Colby Wooden, Auburn
