Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County wide receiver Ny Carr has emerged as a top prospect in the 2024 class. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound four-star is the No. 14 prospect in the On3 Consensus.

Offers are in from over a dozen schools and some have started to stand out.

Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, Arkansas, South Carolina, and USC are my top eight schools,” Carr told On3. “Those are the schools recruiting me the hardest and showing the most attention.”

With Sept. 1 still, five months away, schools cannot directly call the No. 4 wide receiver in the country yet. They show most of their attention through social media by reaching out to Carr through his coach.

Visits played a role in this list too. He just returned from visits to Michigan and Ohio State. He liked it a lot at both Big Ten schools.

“At Michigan, I liked everything. I liked their practice, their coaches, their wide receivers, and I liked everything I saw. I got to spend time with coach Ron Bellamy and Denard Robinson, a former player there, so that was cool too.

“Ohio State had the best receivers in college football last season and that would be exciting to be a part of one day. I met coach Brian Hartline and he is a great guy. We just got to know each other and went over the opportunities I would have in their offense. I had a good time up there.”

He has visited Georgia twice already this year. Carr was in Athens in January, then again in March.

“I really like coach B-Mac (Bryan McClendon) at Georgia,” Carr said. “He really works with his players, he gets after his players, and he pushes his guys. He is a cool coach and we have talked a good bit.

“The best thing about Georgia for me is the energy. You feel it as soon as you walk through the doors.”

There are no visits scheduled for Carr in April, but a return visit to Columbus for the Ohio State spring game is something he is looking into.
