Top 2025 recruit LA Sneed commits to Utah
Top 2025 recruit LA Sneed has committed to the Utah Utes, she announced on Sunday evening.
“I chose Utah because it was the perfect fit for me,” Sneed told On3. “Really, it just fit me perfectly. The coaches – I love the coaching staff, and I feel like the program can really help me, and I can also help the program in a different way.”
Being the last visit that Sneed took, she got a really good feel for the program and formed strong relationships with the coaching staff.
“My experience with them has been really good,” Sneed told On3 in a previous interview. “I got really close with an assistant coach, but then I started developing a relationship with the head coach. I like their system and how they play – it fits me. The girls are really good and I got along with them while I was on my visit. The visit was really good. I got to see how the team interacts with each other and have a one-on-one with Coach [Lynne] Roberts.”
Sneed chose Utah over Cal and Arkansas for her eventual landing spot.

“I’d describe myself as an overall player,” Sneed said. “I feel like I can score on all three levels. Something I’m really going to be working on before I go to college so I can have it in my repertoire is my 3-point shooting and my mid-range.”
LA Sneed told On3 she visited each of the three programs – Cal in May, Arkansas in early June, and she took her final official visit to Utah in late June.
“When I go to a school, I plan on going and staying there all four years,” Sneed told On3. “So just knowing that it’s my home away from home and that I’ll be comfortable being myself. Most of all, I want to be comfortable and know that I’m going to be a better basketball player.”
