In October, FSU made a humongous splash, flipping Miami Central five-star DL Armondo Blount from Miami, who then reclassified to 2024. He’s now the No. 20 prospect and No. 3 DL in the 2024 cycle.

The Seminoles were active on the trail in July, hauling in 10 prospects, none bigger than Venice (Fla.) four-star cornerback Charles Lester III. He was FSU’s highest-ranked commit until the beginning of August, when Buford (Ga.) Five-Star Plus+ safety KJ Bolden pledged.

Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County four-star Landen Thomas is the No. 5 TE in the cycle, while Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military four-star QB Luke Kromenhoek is the No. 5 signal-caller. It’s been a sour month for the Gators, who have lost three four-star prospects to flips. Auburn flipped four-star edge Jamonta Waller, Texas flipped four-star cornerback Wardell Mack, and Georgia flipped four-star defensive lineman Nasir Johnson.

Florida shot up the rankings after a humongous June that witnessed 10 commitments. The fall has been highlighted by the addition of Daytona Beach (Fla.) five-star DL LJ McCray, the No. 4 DL in the cycle.

McKinney (Texas) five-star safety Xavier Filsaime and Willis (Texas) five-star QB DJ Lagway continue to highlight the elite class that features eight top-150 recruits. Leesburg (Va.) Five more prospects committed in August, most notably Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star safety Peyton Woodyard, who flipped from Georgia. Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School four-star WR Amari Jefferson is the second receiver to enter the fold.

Alabama’s top two commits — Carlsbad (Calif.) Five-Star Plus+ QB Julian Sayin and Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville five-star ATH Jaylen Mbakwe — have each been pledged to Nick Saban and Co. since 2022.

Later in the month, Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic five-star EDGE Elijah Rushing pledged after decommitting from Arizona.

Back in August, Oregon landed a big flip, pulling Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra four-star CB Dakoda Fields away from USC. He joins Forney (Texas) four-star safety Aaron Flowers and Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy four-star CB Ify Obidegwu in what could become a feared secondary down the road in Eugene.

The commitments of Long Beach (Calif.) Poly four-star LB Dylan Williams, Los Angeles (Calif.) Los Alamitos four-star LB Kamar Mothudi and Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville four-star OT Jac’Qawn McRoy made for a flashy July for Oregon.

Top Commit: Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Colin Simmons, No. 6 in On3 Industry Ranking

That’s since been countered by a forgetful October, as Beaumont (Texas) United four-star OT Weston Davis flipped to LSU, which followed a decommitment from Silsbee (Texas) four-star WR Dre’lon Miller. Both are top-100 prospects.

Phenix City (Ala.) Central five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman is the No. 3 wideout in the cycle and is one of five top-150 commits for A&M, though he too is a flip target.
