Top 25 QB rankings entering Week 13 of college football
There have been some major moves atop the On3 Top 25 quarterback rankings heading into the final week of the regular season. And that includes a new No. 1 quarterback since Week 12.
Along with the top spot, there’s a fast riser who has clocked in at No. 2 on the list. The conference breakdown is as follows: Seven from the SEC, six from the Pac-12, three each from the Big 12, Big 10 and ACC, two from the Group of 5 and Sam Hartman.
Check out the full On3 Top 25 quarterbacks heading into Week 13 below.
1. Jayden Daniels, LSU
Daniels continued his Heisman-caliber season with a dismantling of a Group of 5 opponent on cupcake Saturday in the SEC. He finished with eight total touchdowns, tied for a single-game LSU record.
He completed more than 80% of his passes and totaled more than 500 yards this past weekend. And he’s eclipsed 3500 passing yards and 1000 rushing yards on the season.
2. Bo Nix, Oregon
The lowest completion percentage Nix has logged in a single game in 2023 is just 72%. It’s been a gangbuster year for the Ducks quarterback, who has emerged as a prime Heisman contender.
Nix went for six touchdowns over the weekend and more than 400 passing yards. He’s got more than 3500 passing yards and has accounted for 40 touchdowns.
3. Caleb Williams, USC
Williams and USC finished the regular season practically in free fall, losing five of the last six games on the schedule. While Williams was unable to drag his team across the finish line, he did give them plenty of chances.
In a loss over the weekend, Williams completed 73.8% of his passes for 384 yards and an impressive touchdown, along with an interception. But Williams and some skill players haven’t been enough to carry USC of late.
4. Michael Penix Jr., Washington
Penix and Washington head to the Apple Cup undefeated after surviving on the road in Week 12. Penix had a bit of a down week, in some part a result of playing in the rain and cold.
Penix completed just 46.4% of his passes for 162 yards, but did throw for a pair of touchdowns while rushing for another. He also avoided any turnovers in a game his team won by a single possession.
5. Drake Maye, North Carolina
Maye and North Carolina got bottled up on Saturday in a loss. Maye went 16-of-36 for 209 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
He did add 67 rushing yards on 10 attempts. But overall, it was one of Mayes worst outings in 2023.
6. Jalen Milroe, Alabama
Milroe continues to surge in the second half of the season. In limited action against a lesser opponent, Milroe went 13-of-16 for 197 yards and three touchdowns passing.
Milroe’s growth as a passer in the later stages of the 2023 season has seen Alabama’s offense ascend to new heights. And his rushing ability remains as dangerous as ever.
7. Carson Beck, Georgia
Beck continues to shine as the Bulldogs have rounded into late-season form. He went 24-of-30 for 298 yards and three touchdowns in the latest Georgia win.

So far in 2023, Beck has 3320 passing yards while completing 72.9% of his passes for 21 touchdowns and five interceptions. He’s only thrown one interception in his last four games, though.
8. Dillon Gabriel, Oklahoma
Gabriel got knocked out with an injury over the weekend as Oklahoma had to turn the offense over to true freshman Jackson Arnold. Before he was hurt, Gabriel was performing well.
He finished 13-of-21 for 191 yards and two touchdowns before leaving the game. His status for the regular season finale is looking good, as he’s expected to play at this point.
9. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
Sanders and Colorado got walloped on the road on Friday evening. And Sanders barely played, getting hurt behind a patchwork offensive line.
He finished 6-of-10 for 86 yards and a touchdown, still. Sanders has shown plenty of arm talent and ability, but hasn’t been at full go due to a lack of protection around him.
10. Jordan Travis, Florida State
Travis, who is out for the season with left leg injury, moves up largely because the No. 10 quarterback from last week fell from the Top 10. Even missing the final regular season game, Travis has had one of the better dual-threat seasons from a quarterback this year.
Travis finished with 2756 passing yards and 20 touchdowns to two interceptions. He added 73 rushing attempts for 176 yards (sack yardage included) and seven rushing touchdowns.

17. Cameron Ward, Washington State
18. DJ Uiagalelei, Oregon State

20. Joey Aguilar, Appalachian State
21. Will Howard, Kansas State
22. Graham Mertz, Florida

Both Pratt (No. 23) and Plummer (No. 25) are back into the Top 25 after falling from the rankings. Maryland’s Taulia Tagovailoa and Tennessee’s Joe Milton both slipped out of the Top 25 heading into the final week of the season.
