Top 25 RB rankings entering Week 11 of college football
At last, Week 11 has arrived and there were some notable moves in the On3 Top 25 running back rankings heading into the slate. There’s a new back at No. 2, plus a pair of rushers entering the Top 10.
Additionally, three running backs moved into the Top 25, one for the first time all season. The conference breakdown is as follows: Five from the Big 12, four from the Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC, three from the ACC and Group of 5 schools and one Notre Dame running back.
Check out the full On3 Top 25 running backs for Week 11 below.
1. Blake Corum, Michigan
Corum and the Wolverines keep rolling on, despite the distractions off the field. Now it’s time for a massive test on the road at Penn State.
Corum retook the national lead in rushing touchdowns after a week off, pacing the nation with 16. There’s no doubt that Michigan will let him continue to hammer away in the run game in Happy Valley.
2. Omarion Hampton, North Carolina
North Carolina got off a two-game losing streak, thrashing Campbell on Saturday. Hampton played a big role, going for 144 yards and two touchdowns at nearly 10 yards a carry.
Hampton’s gone over 100 yards in four-straight games. He’s also accounted for 13 touchdowns.
3. Jonathon Brooks, Texas
Brooks and Texas survived a major scare at home. But the good news is quarterback Quinn Ewers is reportedly healthy and ready to start again for the stretch run.
Texas might not end up leaning on Brooks quite as much with Ewers back, but he’ll still be a bell cow. He finished with 112 yards and a touchdown over the weekend.
4. Ollie Gordon II, Oklahoma State
Gordon has been transcendent since Big 12 play began. After totaling 109 yards in the first three games of the season, he’s averaged 186 a game on the ground in conference play.
There have been plenty of touchdowns, too — 12 on the ground plus another receiving. Expect the Cowboys to keep it rolling with him the rest of the way.
5. Audric Estimé, Notre Dame
Estime and Notre Dame took a deflating loss, continuing a perplexing season. Estime was effective enough, carrying 17 times for 87 yards and a touchdown.
He’s cooled some since a hot start to the season. But even with that slight gearing down, Estime has 13 rushing touchdowns and should eclipse 1000 yards in Week 11.
6. Jaylen Wright, Tennessee
Tennessee cruised to a 59-3 win in an non-conference tune-up game. Wright had just eight carries, but was electric with them.
It was highlighted by a long touchdown run, but 113 yards and a score on eight carries is a good day in any regard. He’s averaging 7.5 yards a carry this season.
7. Jawhar Jordan, Louisville
Jordan has been a key part of the Louisville offensive attack, but health has been an issue of late. After getting dinged up in October, he surged back with a strong game to end the month.

But in Louisville’s most recent game, Jordan was held mostly in check: 14 carries for 57 yards and a touchdown. The Cardinals will want more explosion from the star tailback down the stretch run.
8. MarShawn Lloyd, USC
Lloyd missed USC’s loss to Washington on Saturday with an injury. And while the Trojans run game didn’t suffer, per se, more offensive explosion would’ve been welcome on a night the Trojans needed as many points as possible.
Lloyd has been a big-play merchant all year when healthy. He’s averaging 8.5 yards per touch and has scored eight times.
9. Bucky Irving, Oregon
Irving and the Oregon offense keep chugging along. And Irving had a relatively quiet day as the Ducks hung a crooked number.
Irving carried 18 times for 89 yards and a touchdown and took four catches for 28 yards. He’s closing in on 1000 yards for the season.
10. TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State
Henderson didn’t play for more than a month after getting banged up in late September. But since his return, he’s seemed to be the missing piece for the Ohio State run game.
In the last two games, both road wins, Henderson has carried a total of 46 times for 290 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He’s also added pop as a receiver, taking five catches for 80 yards in Week 10.
