Top 25 RB rankings entering Week 12 of college football
Minor changes are afoot in the On3 Top 25 running back rankings heading into the penultimate week of the regular season. One running back moved in/out of the rankings since last week.
And there were some notable tweaks in the bottom half of the Top 10. The conference breakdown is as follows: Five from the Big 12 and SEC, four from the Big Ten and Pac-12, three from the ACC, two from the Group of 5 schools and one Notre Dame running back.
Check out the full On3 Top 25 running backs for Week 12 below.
1. Blake Corum, Michigan
Michigan thumbed its nose at passing the ball in the second half on Saturday for any number of reasons. And Corum was one of the biggest benficiaries.
He carried the ball 26 times for 145 yards and two touchdowns. He’s up to 794 yards on the year and has tied his 2022 total with 18 rushing touchdowns.
2. Omarion Hampton, North Carolina
North Carolina pulled off a double overtime thriller and Hampton again churned out big yardage. He went over 100 rushing yards and scored a touchdown.
Hampton has 1236 yards and 13 rushing touchdowns in 10 games. That’s good for six yards a carry.
3. Jonathon Brooks, Texas
Brooks has been a workhorse for Texas all season, one of the most productive backs in the nation. But he tore his ACL in Week 11 and will be sidelined for the rest of the year.
Before his injury, Brooks had gone over 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He finishes the year with 1139 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns, plus another receiving score.
4. Ollie Gordon II, Oklahoma State
Gordon and Oklahoma State fell flat after a massive Bedlam Game win. Gordon saw his streak of six-straight games with more than 100 rushing yards ended, too.
He finished with just 12 carries for 25 yards, plus two catches for 27. It was a disappointing turn for the white-hot Gordon.
5. Audric Estimé, Notre Dame
Notre Dame was off in Week 11, having played in Week 0. It should have Estime rested and ready for the final two contests and a bowl.
He’s likely to crack the 1000 yard mark in his next game, sitting just 12 yards away at 988. He’s also got 13 rushing touchdowns.
6. Jawhar Jordan, Louisville
Jordan turned in a rather workman-like 17 carry, 95 yard performance over the weekend. And it helped push Louisville to yet another win.
Jordan is at 976 yards on the season and 11 touchdowns. He’s also got 14 receptions for 193 yards and a score.
7. Bucky Irving, Oregon
Irving shredded in one of his better performances of 2023 on Saturday. He carried 19 times for 118 yards and a touchdown.

He also added five catches for 43 yards. Irving is closing is on 1000 yards, sitting at 939, and has 10 touchdowns.
8. Damien Martinez, Oregon State
Martinez shined as the Beavers rolled to a win. He carried 15 times for 146 yards and an eye-watering four touchdowns.
It was his second-straight 100 yard rushing performance. And with the outing, Martinez went over 1000 rushing yards on the season.
9. TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State
A healthy Henderson has been a revelation for the Buckeyes, providing pop and consistency that was much needed on the ground. He continued his strong close to the season with an abbreviated workload.
Henderson carried 13 times for 63 yards and a touchdown over the weekend. That ended a streak of three-straight 100 yard performances.
10. Jaylen Wright, Tennessee
Wright, and Tennessee, had a stinker at Missouri. En route to a seven-point offensive showing, Wright amassed just 22 yards on seven carries.
The task doesn’t get any easier against Georgia this weekend. The Volunteers will need plenty from Wright and the entire offensive cast to have a chance.
