Top 25 RB rankings entering Week 13 of college football
A new name has entered the Top 10 of the On3 Top 25 running backs heading into the season finale after Week 12. Plus a pair of backs swapped in/out of the rankings.
And with just a week remaining in the regular season, it’ll be difficult for any back to make a major move to the top. The conference breakdown is as follows:
Six from the Big 12, four from the SEC, Pac-12 and Group of 5 schools, three from the ACC and Big Ten and one Notre Dame running back.
Check out the full On3 Top 25 running backs for Week 13 below.
1. Blake Corum, Michigan
Corum hasn’t been the most exciting running back at really any point in 2023. But he’s been prolific and mind-numbingly consistent.
Corum has scored a touchdown in every single game he’s played this season and has just one game with less than 3 yards a carry. His 20 rushing touchdowns leads the nation.
2. Omarion Hampton, North Carolina
Another über-productive back, Hampton had another strong week. He finished with 178 yards and two touchdowns in a loss, also fumbling twice.
But toting at 6.3 yards per carry and for 15 touchdowns on the season has Hampton among the top producers nationally at the position. Plus he’s a capable receiver.
3. Ollie Gordon II, Oklahoma State
Gordon and Oklahoma State bounced back from a post-Bedlam loss and got a victory. And Gordon again powered the way.
He finished with 164 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries. He needs just 86 in the season final to eclipse 1500 on the season rushing.
4. Jonathon Brooks, Texas
Brooks remains out for the season with a torn ACL, but he’s still tied for sixth-nationally in yards from scrimmage on the season. Brooks totaled 1425 yards prior to his injury.
He’ll continue to slip in the rankings, but how far likely depends on how strong the backs from No. 5 downward perform. And either way, the Longhorns will miss Brooks in the season finale.
5. Audric Estimé, Notre Dame
Estime churned out 115 yards on 22 carries as Notre Dame cruised to a win on Senior Night. He scored a touchdown for good measure.
Estime crossed the 1000 yard threshold for the season with the performance and is up to 14 touchdowns. He’ll have one more game and a bowl to add to those impressive stats.
6. Damien Martinez, Oregon State
Martinez and Oregon State lost a close, hard-fought game against undefeated Washington, 22-20. The run game gave the Beavers a real shot at the win.
Martinez tallied 123 yards on 26 carries and 44 more with a pair of receptions. And he scored a pair of touchdowns.

7. Bucky Irving, Oregon
It was a light, efficient day of work for Irving in a win. He carried the ball 11 times for 63 yards and took three catches for 33 more. He didn’t score, his first game without a touchdown since September.
Irving also crossed the 1000 yard mark on the year in Week 12. And he and the Ducks have a real chance to play their way into the College Football Playoff.
8. Jawhar Jordan, Louisville
Jordan has been Louisville’s most potent offensive weapons week-to-week. He even earned a shoutout from CFP selection committee chair Boo Corrigan as he discussed the Cardinals.
He was mostly bottled up as Louisville scrapped for a road win. He carried nine times for 33 yards and took one catch for seven more.
9. TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State
Henderson has looked healthy and nothing short of electric since coming back for Ohio State. He flashed tremendous burst on a long touchdown on Saturday.
He finished with 15 carries for 146 yards and a pair of touchdowns plus two catches for 26 yards. He’s gone over 100 yards in three of four games since returning.
10. Tahj Brooks, Texas Tech
Brooks has been a workhorse for Texas Tech, earning him some recognition in the Top 25 as he finally cracks the Top 10. And with 1348 rushing yards and nine touchdowns, he’s lived up to the new billing.
Brooks has been efficient, too, going for 5.4 yards a carry in 11 games. And he’s gone for 100-plus yards in his last four games.
