Davion Hannah, an elite shooting guard in the 2025 class, has narrowed his list of schools down to nine, he told On3. Moving forward, the 6-foot-5 four-star rising senior out of Link Academy (MO) will consider Alabama, Cincinnati, Louisville, Michigan State, NC State, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, and Xavier.

Hannah, a native of Glendale, Wisconsin, has official visits scheduled with eight of his nine finalists:

  • Alabama: August 31st
  • Louisville: September 7th
  • Wisconsin: September 14th
  • Ohio State: September 20th
  • Michigan State: September 27th
  • NC State: October 5th
  • Cincinnati: October 12th
  • Pittsburgh: October 19th

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Hannah is the No. 28 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No. 10 shooting guard prospect and the No. 2 player in Missouri. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3’s Jamie Shaw recently caught up with Hannah to discuss several programs in the mix for his talents. You can read that conversation here (On3+).

Davion Hannah Scouting Report

“The thing with Davion Hannah is his explosive burst. Hannah is at his best when he is able to get downhill toward the basket. He gets above the rim in transition and plays in straight lines. While he is a threat as a pull up shooter, he will need to develop his shooting consistency from range. He is comfortable with the ball in his hands in the half court, but would like to see him clean up his reads. The athleticism leads to intrigue on the defensive end, he is a twitchy athlete and he competes. He has good size and nice length, projectable frame. Would like to see him become a more efficient player, but he has a lot of tools and his competitive nature helps leads to production.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw

Commitment timeline and what he’s looking for in a school

In a recent interview with On3, Hannah provided an update to a college commitment timeline and what he’s looking for in a school.

“I don’t have an exact timeframe now, but I’m probably looking to commit during the late period, around February, but you never know.”

“I’m looking for a school and a coach that is truthful with me. Someone who tells me what I need to hear and not just what I want to hear. I’ll look at the people around the program, I don’t want to be around negative energy, that type of energy doesn’t fit well around me. All that, and most importantly, I want to win.”
