Hudson Greer, a four-star recruit and one of the top shooting guards nationally, has altered his upcoming official visit schedule.

The 6-foot-6 senior out of Montverde Academy (FL) was originally set to visit Kansas in November, but that trip has been moved up to October 4-6.

His visit to UConn will carry out on on already scheduled date — October 11-13.

Greer was set to visit Alabama last weekend, but that trip was pushed back to October 25-27.

Arizona planned to host him this fall, but that visit has been cancelled and it appears the Wildcats are looking elsewhere.

Greer is the No. 27 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 8 shooting guard prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Creighton: “Since my visit to Creighton, we’ve grown really by just staying in constant contact with Coach Mac (Greg McDermott). He helped me with the little stuff, whether it was after Indianapolis when I had a tough game. He called me after and was like, ‘It is all good, there were times when Baylor Scheierman didn’t shoot well this season. Just stay up.’ He called to give me confidence and after that I feel like I played well for that session. I like the pace they play with. Just spread it out, run and gun, and really just get his team open looks. I can see myself as a Baylor Scheierman-type if I keep improving my jump shot. Being a central point of the offense like that, if I went there I could see it being a good experience for sure.

Alabama: “They have an NBA-style type of offense. When Nate Oats came to my practice he sat me down after practice and got straight to the point. He went through with me how they see me as a player and how they plan to use me in the offense. So his sitting me down and seeing exactly how I would be used at Alabama was good. Also, talking with Coach Pannone there and him sending me clips once or twice a week, showing me things I need to work on, whether it is playing off two feet or holding guys off in the paint, it has been really good. I think I am going to see them the first week of September.”

UConn: “My visit with them is later in October. I think for me it is just the way that Coach (Dan) Hurley coaches. At USA just being around him, there were times when I caught myself just watching him coach. To be honest, as a coach, I mean he is just a dog. The way he shows his emotions on the court, it is great to see. Talking with the assistants, it is a great vibe there and I really like it.”

Scouting Report

“Hudson Greer has a good frame with nice positional size. You can tell he is young and has some maturing to do when it comes to strength. He is a bursty athlete with good straight-line bounce. He can get on the rim in the half-court and throw it down in traffic. Greer is a smooth three-point shooter with deep range. He has a quick release and shoots with outstanding balance. Greer will need to continue tightening the handle, but he can play off one and two dribbles to get to his spots in the mid-range. Greer already carries multiple high major offers; he is trending as a national prospect in the 2025 class.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
