Four-star defensive lineman Jason Moore of Fort Washington (MD) DeMatha Catholic has narrowed his list to five schools— Maryland, Notre Dame, Penn State, Ohio State, and Michigan.
The 6-foot-6, 265 pounder went in-depth on his finalists.
Maryland
“It’s my hometown school,” Moore said. “I have a great relationship with coach Locks and I strongly believe they are going to change that program around and I could be a key piece.”
Notre Dame
“I really can get the best of both worlds here, Moore said. “With the top notch education while playing high level football is like no other. I also have very good relationships with the staff.”
Penn State
“The school is not too far from home,” Moore said. “I have very good relationships with coach Scott and dion Barnes and coach Franklin. They really make me feel like I’m a part of their family, which I love.”

Ohio State
“I have a very good relationship with coach Larry Johnson,” Moore said. “He’s one of the best to ever do it and I can really see myself being developed by him. I also have a good relationship with Cam Spence and loved the environment out there.”
Michigan
“The history of Michigan being a top school year in and year out is big,” Moore said. “I have a great relationship with coach Ellston and coach Harbaugh. Seeing players from my position go high in the draft also helped me be able to see myself being in that spot in the future. I have a lot of connections at Michigan and they all tell me great things about the environment, so I’m looking forward to checking that out.”
Jason Moore ranks as the No. 39 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting sites. He also tabs in as the No. 5 defensive lineman and the No. 1 player in the state of Maryland.
