Top-50 recruit Jaden Toombs sets commitment date
Jaden Toombs, one of the top centers in the 2025 class, has scheduled his college commitment date for September 25th, he told On3.
The 6-foot-9 four-star big man out of Dynamic Prep (TX) says he will decide between SMU, Miami, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, and Alabama.
Toombs has completed official visits to Miami, Texas Tech, and Alabama. Vanderbilt will host him this weekend and he will trip to SMU the following weekend.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Toombs is the No. 43 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. He’s also the No. 4 center prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Toombs talks programs involved
In a previous interview with On3, Jaden Toombs discussed several of the programs recruiting him.
Alabama: “They have had good bigs over the last years at my position that have translated to the next level and they are about winning.”

Miami: “They are a school that plays hard and I like what they are talking about since recruiting me.”
SMU: “They got a new coaching staff with coach Enfield and they just moved to the ACC. I like how he translated the bigs he’s had.”
Texas Tech: “They have shown lots of love and it’s at home. I love the style of play and how they utilize guys like me at my position.”
Scouting Report
“Jaden Toombs is a strong presence on the block. He knows who he is as a player, and he goes out and does that. There is some touch there; he can step out and knock down a catch-and-shoot three. He sets good screens to get his guys open. He is a good area rebounder, securing possessions in traffic. He is a solid athlete.
