Top-50 recruit Kaden Cooper sets commitment date
On3 Consensus four-star recruit Kaden Cooper will announce his college decision on Saturday, November 12th at 2:00 pm ET.
The Atlanta (Ga.) Skill Factory class of 2023 wing is choosing between Alabama, Oklahoma, LSU, Kansas, and Gonzaga. Each program has hosted him for an official visit.
This is expected to come down to a dogfight between the Crimson Tide and the hometown Sooners.
Cooper, a native of Oklahoma, is the No. 45 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also ranked as the No. 8 small forward in the class and the No. 5 prospect in the state of Georgia.
Scouting Summary
Kaden Cooper is a lengthy and highly-explosive wing. At 6-foot-5, he has a projectable frame with broad shoulders, one that looks like it will easily add weight in a college strength and conditioning program. Cooper has upside as a perimeter team defender; his quick twitch and length play well in the passing lanes. Offensively, the jump shot is really developing. The mechanics are clean, and the release is becoming consistent. Always great in transition, Cooper moves well off the ball. The added threat of a jump shot makes him all the more a weapon. Cooper works hard and has high-level physical tools; there is an upside to go here with continued growth moving forward. – On3’s Jamie Shaw
