Turk, whose uncles Matt and Daniel spent a combined 34 seasons in the NFL, emerged as one of the nation’s top punters the past two seasons after transferring to Arizona State from FCS member Lafayette.
Turk originally left the Sun Devils for the NFL after the 2019 season but received a waiver from the NCAA to return to school. He then averaged 47.2 yards per punt in four games last season. Only Georgia Tech’s Pressley Harvin had a higher average (48.02) nationally; Harvin was a seventh-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by Pittsburgh.
