How the nation's top 2024 quarterback recruits performed in Week 1
A majority of the nation’s top quarterback recruits kicked off their senior seasons over the weekend, with a few already having played in games or scrimmages last weekend.
That included a few eye-popping performances, especially from five-star Florida commit DJ Lagway, who did all of his damage in just the first half. Below, see how the top 10 quarterbacks in the On3 Industry Ranking fared:

Status: Committed to Georgia
Result: 10-7 win over Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek
Stats: 14/27, 168 yards, 1 TD
After leading Buford to a shutout victory over nationally ranked Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy in Week 0, he had an up-and-down performance in Week 1 against a talented Mallard Creek squad.
Five-Star Plus+ Julian Sayin
Carlsbad (Calif.)
2024 On3 Industry Ranking: No. 5 (#2 QB)
Status: Committed to Alabama
Result: 48-14 win Chula Vista (Calif.) Mater Dei
Stats: 12/14 for 138 yards, 2 TDs and 11 rushes for 63 yards, 1 TD
Sayin, the prize of Alabama’s 2024 class, kicked off his season late Saturday night with a dominant performance, including one extremely impressive run.
5-star Air Noland
Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes
2024 On3 Industry Ranking: No. 29 (#3 QB)
Status: Committed to Ohio State
Result: 40-9 win over McEachern (Ga.)
Stats: 8/13, 163 yards and 1 TD
Noland was one of the stars of Week 0, leading Langston Hughes to a last-minute win over Carrollton (Ga.). This weekend, he was efficient and effective as they easily dispatched McEachern.
5-star QB DJ Lagway
Willis (Texas)
2024 On3 Industry Ranking: No. 31 (#4 QB)
Status: Committed to Florida
Result: 52-21 win over Bryan (Texas) Rudder
Stats: 19/21, 425 yards, 7 passing TDs, 1 rushing TD
Lagway put up one of the most impressive performances by a high school quarterback in recent memory and led his team to a dominating win in the process.
4-star QB Luke Kromenhoek
Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School
2024 On3 Industry Ranking: No. 40 (#5 QB)
Status: Committed to Florida State
Result: 42-9 win over Charlotte (N.C.) Chambers
Stats: 243 yards, 3 TDs
Kromenhoek’s first game was ended at halftime due to crowd-related issues, but he put up a strong performance in his first full game of the year.

Carr dissected the Brighton defense and added a five-yard rushing touchdown to an impressive day throwing the ball.

Status: Committed to Michigan
Result: 47-7 win over Asheville (N.C.)
Stats: 16/19, 250 yards, 3 TDs
Davis was surgical for the second week in a row, missing only three passes as Providence Day easily ran past Asheville.
4-star Cutter Boley
Hodgenville (Ky.) Lexington Christian Academy
2024 On3 Industry Ranking: No. 140 (#9 QB)
Status: Committed to Kentucky
Result: 56-52 win over Bowling Green (Ky.)
Stats: 23/41, 406 yards, 3 TD, 3 INT
Playing with a couple of reported injuries, Boley and his squad gutted out a victory in a high-scoring affair.
4-star QB Walker White
Little Rock (Ark.) Christian Academy
2024 On3 Industry Ranking: No. 145 (#10 QB)
Status: Committed to Auburn
Result: 63-0 win over Little Rock (Ark.) Central
Stats: 5/9, 46 yards, 3 TDs
White saw very little field time as Little Rock Christian cruised past local rival Central High. Of his five passes, three went for touchdowns.
