Transfer DB Benjamin Perry plans visit to UCLA, receiving interest from Vanderbilt
Former Louisville DB Benjamin Perry is getting his recruitment process going upon his entry into the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Per On3’s Steve Wiltfong, Perry will take an official visit to UCLA this weekend.
Beyond that, Wiltfong has also noted interest in Perry by the Vanderbilt Commodores. This comes after reports over the weekend of interest from his side of things with the Florida Gators.
Perry spent the past four seasons with the Cardinals where he appeared in almost 40 games on their defense. In total, he has posted 132 tackles, eight deflections, a pair of sacks, and a forced fumble in those collegiate outings.
Perry, a Chicago native, played high school football at Mount Carmel. He was the No. 248 overall recruit there as a four-star prospect in the 2021 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as a Top-20 safety in the class and the No. 5 player out of the state of Illinois in ’21.
