Transfer Portal: The top ten players who entered on Thursday

The college basketball transfer portal opened on Monday, March 18, to start the 45-day window where all men’s college basketball players will be able to enter the transfer portal without penalty. It has been a busy nine days with over 1,1500 players submitting their names so far. Almost 70 names were entered today, on March 28.

1 G AJ Storr, Wisconsin

The Buzz: AJ Storr earned second-team All-Big Ten honors this season after earning Big East All-Freshman honors last season. The 6-foot-7 wing led Wisconsin in scoring this season, averaging 16.8 points. Storr, a sophomore, is originally from Illinois. He started his college career at St. John’s.

2. F Ben Humrichous, Evansville

The Buzz: Ben Humrichous led Evansville in scoring this season after transferring up from NAIA Huntington College. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 14.7 points while shooting 41.4 percent from three. Humrichous, a grad transfer, is originally from Tipton, Indiana. 

3. F Adou Thiero, Kentucky

The Buzz: Adou Thiero started 19 games for Kentucky this season. The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 7.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game. Thiero, a sophomore, is originally from Leetsdale, Pennsylvania.

4. C Brandon Huntley-Hatfield, Louisville

The Buzz: Brandon Huntley-Hatfield started all 32 games for Louisville this season. The 6-foot-10 post player averaged 12.9 points and he finished top five in the ACC with 8.4 rebounds. Hutley-Hatfield is originally from Clarksville, Tennessee and he started his career at Tennessee. 

5. G Kevin Miller, Wake Forest

The Buzz: Kevin Miller started all 35 games he played in this season at Wake Forest. The 6-foot-0 guard averaged 15.6 points and 3.5 assists on 36.9 percent shooting from three. Miller is originally from Chicago, Illinois. He started his college career at Central Michigan.

6. G Jason Edwards, North Texas

The Buzz: Jason Edwards earned first-team All-AAC honors this season. The 6-foot-0 guard averaged 19.1 points on 35.0 percent shooting from three. Edwards is originally from the Atlanta, Georgia area and he started his college career at D2 Miles College.

7. F Tre White, Louisville

The Buzz: Tre White started 26 of 29 games this season for Louisville after earning All-Freshman Pac-12 honors last season. The 6-foot-7 wing averaged 12.3 points and 5.9 rebounds this season. White is originally from Texas and he started his college career at USC.

8. C Pharrel Payne, Minnesota

The Buzz: Pharrel Payne started 19 of 32 games this season for Minnesota. The 6-foot-9 post averaged 10.0 points and 6.1 rebounds this season while finishing top ten in the Big Ten in blocks with 1.4 per game. Payne is originally from Minnesota. 

9. F Gavin Griffiths, Rutgers

The Buzz: Gavin Griffiths, a former four-star recruit, started three games and played in 32 for Rutgers this season. The 6-foot-8 wing averaged 5.8 points on 1.0 threes per game. Griffiths is originally from Connecticut. 

10. G Zion Harmon, Bethune Cookman

The Buzz: Zion Harmon earned first-team All-SWAC honors this season after being named SWAC Rookie of the Year last year. The 6-foot-0 guard averaged 14.6 points and 4.0 assists. Harmon is originally from Kentucky and started his college career at Western Kentucky, where he redshirted.
