Sunshine State LB prospect Travares Daniels II excited to help Indiana rebuild
Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas linebacker prospect Travares Daniels committed to Indiana last week where he’ll play WILL for Curt Cignetti and this new Hoosiers staff.
The 6-foot-2, 209-pound Daniels is one of six early commits for the Hoosiers in the 2025 recruiting cycle. He had 70 tackles, seven stops for loss and four sacks for the national powerhouse program and he also forced a fumble and defended five passes.

Daniels, like Cignetti, is used to winning and plans to help the Hoosiers get back on track.
“IU is in complete rebuild mode,” Daniels said. “They have nearly a whole brand new coaching staff, and that coaching staff knows how and what it takes to win. I believe they just need the right players in the system to turn the program around.
Daniels chose Indiana over USF, SMU, Maryland and Georgia Tech.
“Ultimately besides the great relationships I have with multiple coaches on the staff, what I love most about IU is the defensive scheme,” Daniels said. “Coach (Bryant) Haines defensive scheme is one of a kind. The freedom the linebackers get to play at is amazing to me and that is a system I can see myself playing in honestly.”
