Travis Etienne reveals what he'll wear when brother Trevor, Georgia take on Clemson
Georgia kicks off its 2024 regular season against Clemson in Atlanta. The matchup is particularly interesting for Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne.
Travis, a Clemson alum and former national champion with the Tigers, will be watching his younger brother Trevor Etienne suit up for his Bulldog debut against his alma mater. He hasn’t quite figured out his attire for next month’s matchup, either.
“I do have an Etienne jersey, a black one,” Travis Etienne said. “I got the black with a little red. My mom asked me what I was going to wear to the game. I was kind of just thinking that I would put my brother’s jersey on with a Clemson hat. I’m still conflicted about that so we will see.”
Travis never played Georgia during his tenure at Clemson from 2017-2020. Therefore, there’s no issue between him and the Bulldogs program like there would be if you asked him about Alabama or Ohio State, two teams that Etienne faced on more than one occasion in the College Football Playoffs.
Moreover, his flesh and blood will be suiting up in the red and black beginning in August. Sorry, Tigers fans, his hands are tied.
“I’ve got to ride with my little brother,” he concluded. It’s nothing personal to his university, and he’ll be wearing Clemson orange every Saturday for the rest of the season.

Transferring into the program from rival Florida this offseason, Trevor is expected to be an instant-impact performance for the Bulldogs in 2024.
Across 279 touches in his career, Etienne has posted 1,710 total yards, good for 6.1 per opportunity, and 15 touchdowns. That’s good for 61.3 rush yards per game and 5.9 per carry. Those also pair with an average of 7.9 receiving yards per catch for his career.
In total, he spent two seasons in Gainesville to begin his collegiate career. While he was there, he rushed for 1,472 yards and 14 touchdowns in 24 games. Etienne also had 238 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown, making him one of the most experienced running backs in the SEC this coming season.
Georgia’s 2024 regular season opener against Clemson is set for Aug. 31 in Atlanta for the Aflac Kickoff before beginning SEC play in Week 3 against Kentucky. A blockbuster Week 4 matchup on the road against Alabama looms as well, a matchup that Travis might be more all-in on Georgia for.
