Trent Burns, 7-foot-2 center, names final 4 schools

Houston (Texas) PSAT Academy four-star center Trent Burns is down to four schools. Moving forward, the 7-foot-2, 210-pound center will consider Missouri, Rice, Tulsa, and Xavier.
Out of his finalists, Burns has completed official visits to Rice, Tulsa, and Missouri. He’s scheduled to visit Xavier on September 22nd and says he aims to make a college commitment by early November.
Burns had previously taken an official visit to Purdue and had upcoming trips scheduled with Ohio State and Nebraska. He also received offers from Stanford, Penn State, DePaul, and others.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Burns is the No. 105 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3’s evaluators are slightly higher on Burns, ranking him 85th nationally.
Burns breaks down his four finalists
Missouri: “Coach (Dennis) Gates recruits me hard and I like their system.”
Rice: “I’ve talked to the coaches for a long time and they believe in me a lot and they want to build something great at Rice.”
Tulsa: “I like all of the coaches and they believe in me and want to develop me.”
Xavier: “I like the play style and coaches and I like the way they develop their bigs.”
