Trent Noah had a big summer playing with the Midwest Basketball Club on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard averaged 12.4 points while shooting 43.7 percent from three.

“I feel like I am a good shooter, who defends the ball well,” Noah told On3. I have a good IQ and will do whatever the team needs to win. I’ve seen this summer that I’ve gotten more athletic and improved my game on the defensive end. I enjoy watching Luka Doncic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. I’m trying to take how they play at their own pace and implement it into my game.”

With the successful summer, the Harlan (KY) High rising senior has seen his recruitment take a jump as well. On3 recently caught up with Trent Noah to talk about his recruitment and get an update on his visits.

Noah has future official visits set

“I have official visits planned to Seton Hall, Western Kentucky, Butler, Saint Louis, Stanford, and South Carolina,” Noah said.

South Carolina: “Really, their coaching staff stands out to me. I’ve enjoyed building relationships with them, they are in one of the best leagues in the country (the SEC), and I’m just super excited to get to campus. They like my IQ and feel for the game, they talk about that a lot. Coach (Lamont) Paris has done a great job everywhere he has been. He was with great teams at Wisconsin and at UT-Chattanooga, and he is doing a great job at South Carolina.”

Stanford: “The Pac-12 is a really good league. They have good academics there, and they help their players out how they can. I like Coach (Jerod) Haase a lot, I feel like I have developed a good relationship with him and the staff.”

Butler: Coach (Thad) Matta is great, I enjoy talking to him, and we talk a lot. It has been super cool getting to know him. Butler is great. I love their tradition and Hinkle Fieldhouse, the place they play. The staff is super excited about the visit, and the feeling is definitely mutual. Coach Matta believes I will fit in well with how they play. He likes my ability to shoot it and stretch the floor.”

Seton Hall: “I’m a big fan of Coach (Shaheen) Holloway, and I really enjoy talking with him and can’t wait to get up to campus and hang out with them. He was a super tough player himself at Seton Hall, and he made an incredible run in the NCAA Tournament with Saint Peters.”

Saint Louis: “I’m a big fan of Coach (Travis) Ford. He was a really good player at Kentucky and has done a great job in his coaching career.”

Western Kentucky: “Coach (Steve) Lutz at WKU is awesome. I enjoy talking to him and am excited to get to campus.”

Noah’s visit schedule

Trent Noah has set five upcoming official visits.

Seton Hall: July 30
Western Kentucky: September 8
Butler: September 20
South Carolina: September 22
Saint Louis: September 28

The sharp-shooting wing has already taken official visits to Richmond and Loyola-Chicago, both in June.

Noah has taken two official visits

“I’ve had two official visits so far, Loyola-Chicago and Richmond,” Noah said.

Loyola-Chicago: “I really like the Loyola-Chicago coaching staff. I’m a huge fan of Coach (Drew) Valentine and how the staff runs the program.”

Richmond: “I would say Richmond’s Coaching staff stood out to me on my visit. I really like Coach (Chris) Mooney and everyone, really. They talk a lot about the versatility I bring as a player.”

Athletic bloodlines

“My grandfather, Perky Bryant, played football at the University of Kentucky,” Noah said. “He was the fullback/linebacker on the Thin Thirty team. After Bear Bryant left Kentucky football in the 1960s, they brought in a new coach that ran everyone off. They played the entire season with 23 players and called them the Thin Thirty.

At the end of the day…

My plan is to just commit before the high school season,” Noah said. “Hopefully, somewhere around October.

“Mainly, I’m going to be looking at the relationship I have with the staff. I feel like that’s huge because you’ll be around them all of the time. Style of play will be a big factor to take my game to the next level. I would like to look at a team that shoots a lot of threes, plays up-tempo, and moves the ball around.”
