Pensacola (Fla.) Catholic four-star EDGE Trenton Henderson is one of the top 2026 prospects in the Sunshine State. He’s now down to his top 10 schools.

Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Texas, USC and Vanderbilt have all made the cut for the 6-foot-4, 225-pounder, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Monday.

Henderson is the No. 45 overall prospect and No. 5 EDGE in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 5 player in Florida.

Henderson has already had a busy year, getting visited by plenty of coaches in January while making junior day visits to some of his top contenders. Official visits to both Auburn (May 16) and Alabama (June 6) have been reported thus far, too.

As a junior for Pensacola Catholic, Henderson racked up 50 tackles, including 18 TFLs, 20 hurries, 10 sacks and six pass breakups. The Crusaders won eight games in 2024 and were among the best at the 2A level in Florida.

Henderson on some of his top schools

Across the last couple of months, Henderson has caught up with national and team insiders at On3, breaking down his interest in some of the schools that made his top list on Monday:

Alabama: “It definitely lived up to the expectations,” Henderson told BamaOnLine after visiting earlier this month. “Them just being such a high-profile program… My interest level in them has definitely gained. Just how much of a winning program they are and the amount of talent they produce.”

Auburn: “Auburn sits pretty high. I really like the family atmosphere, the coaches, the energy around the building. Just everything really,” he told Auburn Live after his junior day visit. “I love Coach Roc (Bellantoni) … Coach Roc is a great guy. I like Coach Roc a lot. He recruited me when he was at FAU. We’re just cool. He’s just a great guy. I like him a lot.”

Florida: “They’re making a big move for me. I really just like that. Florida, they always made me feel like I’m one of their top guys, but now I’m really starting to feel it,” he told Gators Online last month. “I would say Florida is one of the top contenders.”

Florida State: “FSU is definitely one of the top contenders,” Henderson told Warchant last month. “Really right now, I would say those are my top two. Then I have some that I can see potentially being there, I’ve just got to go visit.”
