Troy Smith accuses Michigan of cheating, calls Jim Harbaugh 'Professor Khakis'
Buckeyes everywhere are not done celebrating yet. Former Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith took a shot at Jim Harbaugh and Michigan Thursday morning, a few days after the Buckeyes clinched another national championship.
Smith shared a post outlining how Ryan Day was much better during his first six seasons at Ohio State than Jim Harbaugh was during his first six seasons at Michigan.
Smith quote tweeted the post with the caption: “Professor Khakis ran to the next to level cause they cheated ..”

“Professor Khakis” is obviously Harbaugh, who is known for wearing khakis, and “they” is obviously Michigan. The Wolverines won the 2023 national championship during a wild year that saw Harbaugh miss multiple games due to recruiting violations and a sign-stealing scandal.
Connor Stalions, who was at the center of the sign-stealing investigation, maintained that Harbaugh was not aware of the scheme, but there are differing opinions on whether or not that was actually true. Harbaugh left to coach the Los Angeles Chargers at the conclusion of the 2023 college football season and led the Chargers to the playoffs during his first season back in the NFL this past year.
As for Michigan, Sherrone Moore took over as the head coach of the Wolverines and while his first season was a struggle, Michigan did beat Ohio State for a fourth consecutive time. The Buckeyes rebounded in impressive fashion, though, dominating the College Football Playoff and winning every game by double digits.

Michigan has bragging rights over Ohio State after earning its fourth straight win in the rivalry series, but the Buckeyes have bragging rights over the entire college football world. Smith is understandably proud of his former school for winning the national championship, and he is talking a little smack afterward.
Smith played at Ohio State from 2002-06, winning the 2006 Heisman Trophy and earning unanimous All-American honors that season. He threw for more than 2,500 yards and 30 touchdowns that year, helping the Buckeyes reach the BCS national championship game.
After playing at Ohio State, Smith was selected in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He also spent time with the San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers during his NFL career.
The Buckeyes will look to end their losing skid against Michigan during the 2025 season. Ohio State enters the year with plenty of momentum after making a run to a national championship to end this year.
