WATCH: Tulane trolls ESPN, Aaron Judge cut-ins with clever uniform reveal video
Aaron Judge’s chase for 62 home runs became the talk of the sports world the last few weeks. Not only because it was an American League record, but because ESPN kept cutting in to show the New York Yankees star’s at-bats — much to the chagrin of college football fans across the country.
Tulane had some fun with those cut-ins while attempting to reveal its uniforms for this week.
The Green Wave tweeted a uniform reveal video Wednesday and proceeded to “cut in” to show Judge hitting the long-awaited 62nd home run. As a result, the program will attempt to unveil the full video on Thursday.

As shown in the video, Judge did end up hitting his 62nd home run Tuesday night to break Roger Maris’ American League record. It took him 23 at-bats between home run Nos. 61 and 62, and it led to multiple cut-ins during college football games on ESPN the last two weeks.

Judge now sits alone in seventh place on Major League Baseball’s single-season home run list. The Yankees didn’t put him in Wednesday’s lineup, meaning he will stay at 62 home runs, one behind Sammy Sosa for sixth most in a single year. Barry Bonds’ record of 73 home runs still sits comfortably alone at the top.
TCU trolls Aaron Judge, ESPN amid offensive onslaught against Oklahoma
TCU brought the comedy to Twitter last week regarding ESPN cutting to New York Yankees star Aaron Judge during their offensive onslaught against Oklahoma. Judge was searching for home run No. 62 on the season, but the Horned Frogs were looking to score 62 points before he did it.
Surveying the crowd, the TCU Twitter had the perfect response to the situation.
At the time, the Horned Frogs led Oklahoma 55-17, one touchdown away from 62. They didn’t end up getting there as they defeated the Sooners 55-24.
