Turner Corcoran injury update: Nebraska OL battling a 'significant' issue, per Matt Rhule
Turner Corcoran will be out for the foreseeable future for Nebraska per the latest from Matt Rhule.
Rhule updated Corcoran’s status to open his press conference on Monday. Due to a “significant” injury to his hamstring, the fifth-year offensive lineman will “be out for a while” according to his head coach.

“Yeah, Turner has a significant hamstring so he’ll be out for a while,” said Rhule.
Corcoran was helped off in the opening half of the overtime loss for the Cornhuskers to Illinois on Friday.
Corcoran, their senior at left tackle, had started each of the first four games this season. That brought his total number of starts to 35 in his collegiate career with the program as part of 38 appearances. He could now be looking at a four-game redshirt, though, depending on just how severe this injury is.
This is now the second serious injury for Corcoran in as many years, though. He missed the final five games of last fall with a foot injury. This now with his hamstring seems as though it’ll cost him several games in this season as well.
This is only further complicated by the previous season-ending matter to Teddy Prochazka. He suffered another major injury of his own in fall camp after tearing his ACL. That leaves even less depth for Nebraska at their tackle spots with Corcoran already having taken the place of Prochazka.
Corcoran will start to rehab on that hamstring in hopes of potentially being back sometime this fall. As for the ‘Huskers as they continue into conference play, they’ll have to start looking at how they want to structure their offensive line with this latest injury to it
