3-star CB Tyler Scott reveals commitment date
Mableton (Ga.) Pebblebrook three-star cornerback Tyler Scott has a top seven of Alabama, Auburn, Louisville, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas and USC. He is ready to take his talents to one of those schools.
Scott will be announcing his commitment on Dec. 21. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound defensive back knows he has some deep thinking to do in the coming days.
“It will come down to how schools recruit me,” Scott told On3. “It is important to me how schools communicate with me and my mom. It is about family to me, how I feel around the people on campus and what kind of relationship the coaches have with me and my mom.”
Scott was pledged to Arkansas State until Oct. 2. This season, he has attended games at Alabama, Auburn, Michigan and Tennessee. He recently shared that Alabama, Auburn, Louisville and Michigan are the leaders among his finalists.
“I have already taken official visits to Auburn and Alabama,” said Scott, On3’s No. 41 cornerback in the country. “I am going to USC this weekend, then Texas the weekend after that. I will probably take a mid-week visit to Auburn too and that would be another official visit since they have a new coach.”

Alabama and Auburn are two schools to watch
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race between Auburn (51.8%) and Tennessee (40.1%) for Scott’s pledge. Regarding the Tigers, he is talking with secondary coach Zac Etheridge. However, Scott has not spoken with new head coach Hugh Freeze yet.
Auburn’s Iron Bowl rival is a team to follow in his recruitment, as well. Scott had high praise for Alabama following his official visit to Tuscaloosa last weekend.
“Alabama is a great school with great coaches and it is a school I like even more after this visit,” Scott said on Dec. 4. “Their message to me was strong and I feel good about Alabama.”
Scott has less than three weeks until his decision date. He is excited for what’s to come.
“Things took off after the first game of my senior year and it has been pretty crazy,” Scott said. “I was happy with Arkansas State, but new offers came. I have some great schools on my list and it will be a tough decision.”
