Florida State EDGE signee Tylon Lee tabbed No. 24 prospect in final 2025 On300

Milton (Fla.) Pace EDGE Tylon Lee was one of the many major final additions to Florida State’s 2025 recruiting class, as he flipped from Ole Miss to the Seminoles on Dec. 6. He’s now solidified as one of the biggest steals in the cycle.
On Thursday, the 6-foot-5.5, 260-pounder was named a five-star prospect in the final edition of the 2025 On300 rankings. He jumped nearly 50 spots up to No. 24 overall and is now the headlining signee for head coach Mike Norvell and Co.
On3’s Scouting and Rankings team has been high on Lee and he continued to bolster his stock during an impressive senior campaign that saw 87 total tackles and six sacks. Across his last three seasons, Lee has racked up over 230 tackles.
“Lee has had an absolutely fantastic senior season and it does not take long to see why we feel this rise is merited. Lee, at over 6-foot-5 and around 250-260 pounds, moves like a Mack truck with a Ferrari engine,” On3’s Charles Power wrote this fall. “He is all over the field and has some of the more eye-popping individual plays we’ve seen from a player on the defensive front to this point in their senior season. An extreme motor, outstanding play-speed, he’s super physical, runs through contact and chases down plays from any area on the field. Basically, this is a prospect who lives in opposing backfields.”
A one-time UCF commit, Lee flipped from the Knights to Ole Miss in October. FSU then got in the thick of his recruitment late in the fall, got Lee on campus for an official visit and pulled off the flip during the Early Signing Period.
“They didn’t have the season they wanted but I’m looking forward and we’re going to change that,” Lee told On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “The record doesn’t define people and the fans they came out and watched them. That’s real love.
“The coaches and everything,” he said about what stands out at FSU. “The atmosphere there. Getting coached by coaches that played in the league and have that experience of what Sunday football is like.”

Florida State finished 2025 recruiting on a high note
Despite a tumultuous 2024 season, Florida State was able to reset and make a real impact on the recruiting trail during the final weeks of the 2025 cycle.
Nine prospects joined the class during the December signing period, including five of the seven highest-ranked signees. The class now ranks No. 20 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Lee is one of four EDGEs in the class, alongside four-star LaJesse Harrold and brothers Darryll and Mandrell Desir.
“Lee is not a finesse player, he runs through the face of offensive tackles, bursts into the backfield, creates disruption, and his play style might remind some of Texas A&M defensive end Nic Scourton, who’s a projected top-10 pick,” Power wrote. “Some of the most emphatic finishes and high-effort, explosive plays that are a little bit reminiscent of Will Anderson. Obviously that’s super high company, but those are the type of plays that Tylon Lee has made to this point.”
