UCF 4-star WR commit Jayvan Boggs takes Florida State official visit
Florida State is in desperate need of some recruiting momentum as Mike Norvell and the Seminoles try to end their 2024 season on a high note.
North Carolina heads to Tallahassee for a Saturday clash and FSU has multiple official visitors on campus, including Cocoa (Fla.) four-star wide receiver and UCF commit Jayvan Boggs.
Boggs picked up an offer from Norvell and Co. on Oct. 10, just over two months after he flipped his commitment from Missouri to the Knights. Also a former Ohio State pledge, Boggs is now giving the Noles a look with the Early Signing Period right around the corner.
Boggs has continued to up his stock as a senior for Cocoa. Catching passes from junior Michigan commit Brady Hart, Boggs has racked up 54 receptions for 1,147 yards and 13 TDs, according to MaxPreps. He’s coming off a junior campaign that featured nearly 1,500 receiving yards and 23 scores.
He is the No. 234 overall prospect and No. 31 WR in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 35 player in Florida.

FSU now without a WR commit in its 2025 class
As the results haven’t improved during a stressful season, Florida State has seen its 2025 recruiting class dwindle. The Noles have just 11 commits in the mix, as of Nov. 2. Four-star receivers Daylan McCutcheon, Malik Clark and CJ Wiley have all decommitted this fall, leaving FSU without a WR commit this cycle.
Boggs is emerging as a flip target, however. With not much time left before pen gets put to paper, the Noles will look to make a move with the blue-chipper this weekend.
“The lasts time Boggs visited Florida State was almost two years ago, for the Seminoles’ blowout of Georgia Tech in 2022. It will be interesting to see if the ‘Noles will be able to rekindle that relationship over the next few weeks,” Warchant’s Matt LaSerre wrote last month.
Florida State’s class now ranks No. 23 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Boggs, UCF’s top-ranked commit this cycle, will be a name to monitor coming out of the visit.
