UCF guard Mikey Williams has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He spent just one season with the Knights.

Williams played only about half a season’s worth with UCF. He appeared in 18 contests total, starting five of them.

During that time, Mikey Williams averaged 5.1 points and 1.9 rebounds per game. He also chipped in 0.7 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.2 blocks per contest.

At 6 foot 3, 193 pounds with some real quick-twitch ability and some range, he’ll have a good number of suitors in the NCAA transfer portal. Williams shot 28.1% from 3-point range, something that will need work going forward.

Still, he’s a talented prospect who will garner a lot of interest. And he’s got plenty of eligibility left.

Prior to enrolling at UCF, Mikey Williams was a coveted prospect as a recruit. He was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 51 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class. He also checked in as the No. 13 player at his position and the No. 11 overall player in the state of California, hailing from San Diego (CA) San Ysidro.

Anquan Boldin’s son enters transfer portal

Mikey Williams isn’t the only notable transfer portal entry in recent days. Buffalo Bulls sophomore guard Anquan Boldin Jr. has entered the transfer portal, On3 has learned. He is the son of long-time NFL star wide receiver Anquan Boldin.

Coming out of high school, Boldin Jr. was an unranked recruit in the Class of 2023. He attended IMG Academy in Delray Beach, Florida. There, he averaged 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one block in 27 games. Eventually, he would sign with Buffalo out of high school.

In two seasons with the Bulls, Boldin Jr. has become an important player for Buffalo. In 53 career games played, he has 49 starts and averaged 27 minutes per game over his first two college seasons. This past season, he was one of just two Bulls players to start every game for the team. For his career, he’s averaging 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. He’s also shooting 46.4 percent from the field, 28 percent from three-point range, and 66.4 percent from the free-throw line. On the defensive end, he has 0.9 steals and 0.7 blocks per game.

On3’s Dan Morrison also contributed to this report.
