UCF transfer shooting guard Jaylin Sellers has officially committed to the Providence Friars, On3’s Joe Tipton reported on Friday evening. Sellers recently narrowed down his finalists in the portal to Cincinnati, Georgetown, Illinois, and Providence.

Sellers only appeared in three games this past season due to injury after an impressive first year at UCF in 2023-24. He averaged 15.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game while starting 32 out of 33 games a year ago.

More on Jaylin Sellers and his basketball career

Sellers started his college career at Ball State, where he jumped into a starting role as a sophomore. He averaged 13.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per game that year before entering the transfer portal and committing to UCF.

Jaylin Sellers played high school basketball at Montgomery (Ala.) Carver. He is currently the No. 31-ranked shooting guard to enter the transfer portal this cycle, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.

Sellers is one of five UCF players to enter the transfer portal since the window opened following the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament. One of them is guard Mikey Williams, and On3’s Pete Nakos reported an early school to watch for him in the portal.

UCF is in the inaugural College Basketball Crown, which got underway in Las Vegas on Monday. There is also NIL money at stake in the event. The Knights advanced to the Semifinals of the event after they defeated Cincinnati in the Quarterfinals, 88-80. UCF will face Villanova on Saturday.

The College Basketball Crown and Vivid Seats announced $500,000 in endorsement opportunities for the top four teams in the bracket as part of Vivid Seats’ newly launched ambassador program. Teams that lose in the semifinals would each receive a $50,000 NIL package, and the runner-up would receive $100,000. The winning team would receive $300,000 in NIL ambassador deals.
