Top-25 recruit Braylon Mullins commits to UConn over several blue-bloods
Braylon Mullins, one of the top shooting guards in country, has committed to UConn and head coach Dan Hurley, he told On3.
The 6-foot-5 senior out of Greenfield-Central (IN) ultimately chose the Huskies over Indiana, but also received offers from Michigan, Tennessee, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, Alabama, Purdue, and others.
Mullins is a four-star prospect and the No. 22 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 6 shooting guard prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Mullins on his commitment to UConn
Braylon Mullins discussed his decision with On3.
“I chose UConn because of a few reasons. Culture was a big part, it’s all about winning. The playstyle fit me extremely well, and with their play style, I can develop myself as a successful player. I’ve also built a very strong relationship with Coach Hurley and the staff. They made it feel like home. I trust Coach Hurley and the staff because I feel like they give me the best shot of reaching my goals as a player.”

In his own words, what type of player is UConn getting in Braylon Mullins?
“I would describe myself as an athletic shooter. Everyone knows me for shooting the ball. But I can play defense at a high level and be a playmaker.”
He has a message for UConn fans.
“Can’t Wait To Become A Husky! Roll Skies.”
The newest Husky noted as a standout at the Adidas 3SSB Palmetto Road Championships
On3’s Jamie Shaw considered Mullins as a standout at the Adidas Championship earlier this summer:
“Mullins shined at times this week when the lights were bright. In the championship game, he finished with 22 points, going 4-10 from the three-point line. An interesting aspect that Mullins showed this week was his ability to get to the free-throw line. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard carries more pop at the rim than you think and is capable of attacking the rim hard if you run him off the line. He is still tightening things up in his footwork and his shot mechanics, but his ability to make shots off movement and attack the rim in straight lines makes his game valuable in today’s game.”
